The next sitting of the MRCPI OBG Part 2 Written exam is on September 04, 2025. If you are a candidate planning to take this exam in India, then this blog is for you. RCPI has introduced changes in the application process for aspirants who are choosing India as their exam centre. Let’s analyse these changes in detail.

What Are the Changes You Need to Note?

If you are sitting for the MRCPI OBG Part 2 Written exam in India, you must apply using the Indian Goods and Services Tax (GST) application link, which is now updated on the RCPI website. As per this, candidates are required to pay an additional 18% Indian GST, which is included in their exam fee.

This is not a charge imposed by the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI), but a legal requirement under Indian tax regulations for exams conducted in India.

How Will the Tax Be Calculated and Displayed?

The examination fee will be listed as € (base exam fee) + local taxes. The 18% tax will be calculated on the base fee, and it is added to the total. The final amount payable will be clearly shown at the time of payment.

What About Candidates Who Have Already Paid?

If you have already paid for the exam before the implementation of this tax, you will not be required to pay extra. However, any new bookings made after the implementation date will be subject to the additional 18% GST.

Haven’t Booked Your Seat Yet? Hurry Up!

Applications are already open and will close on 16 July 2025 at 5:00 PM Irish time. So don’t wait till the last minute — book now and avoid last-minute hassles.
