What is the application procedure for MRCPI Part 2 Written?

Eligible candidates can apply for the MRCPI Part 2 Written online. The application period is only open for a short period of time. Any requests for special arrangements during the exam must be submitted before the closing date for applications. Refer the below link for more details

How long shall I wait after booking to get my exam entrance pass/ticket?

Candidate will receive the entrance ticket in approximately 4 weeks before your exam through email (registered with RCPI). You will need to print out your entrance ticket and bring it with you to the exam, together with photographic identification.

What are the required documents for MRCPI part 2 Written?

Along with the application, candidate shall be required to upload scanned copies of the following documents:

  • An attested copy of your primary medical degree
  • A recent color passport-style photo (minimum resolution 100*100 pixels)
  • A copy of your Part I or equivalent qualification. For MRCOG Part I, you will need your official Part 1 Pass letter
  • A testimonial form signed by two referees

Do I need to get a VISA for appearing this exam?

All the information regarding the VISA shall be enquired to the relevant consulate. RCPI shall provide a letter of attendance for the exam if the candidate requested when applying the exam.

Once I book the exam is it possible to postpone or cancel?

RCPI has a written cancellation policy which you should need to refer before applying for the exam. Please refer the below link

How many times can I attempt the MRCPI part 2 Written?

From January 2019 the maximum number of times a candidate can sit any Part of an MRCPI examination will be limited to six attempts. This will mean that you have six attempts at each component of the MRCPI exams (i.e. 12 attempts in total across the two Parts). What if I did not perform well in the exam and need a retake?

If a candidate does not pass the USMLE exam, they are allowed to retake it.
However, if a candidate scores low and wants to retake the exam, they must wait until the next testing cycle. It’s important to note that USMLE scores remain valid for seven years from the date of examination.
