In addition to their basic medical degree, candidates must also have one of the following qualifications to appear for the MRCPI O&G Part 2 Written examination.
MRCPI O&G Part 2 Written:
MRCPI O&G Part 2 Written is a three hour long paper delivered via remote invigilation through TestReach. This means that candidates may sit the exam in an appropriate, secure place of their choosing, subject to the guidelines and requirements of the RCPI. The paper consists of 100 Single Best Answer (SBA) questions, each presenting candidates with a ‘Vignette’ (Clinical Scenario) followed by five possible answers. There is no negative marking for this paper.
Although MRCPI OBG examinations are conducted in three diets every year, deadlines for the first two diets are well past at the time of writing. This leaves candidates with a single diet to appear for MRCPI O&G tests in the year 2026.
