You must hold an approved Part I qualification (or equivalent) and complete 18 months of post-registration training.
RCPI accepts the following qualifications as equivalent to MRCPI Part I, making candidates eligible to apply for the MRCPI OBG Part 2 Written exam:
MRCOG Part I (Note: Exemptions from MRCOG Part I are not accepted), RCPI Professional Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (2022 onwards only), MRCPI Part I (General Medicine or Paediatrics) — obtained within the last six years, MRACOG (Australia), MRNZCOG (New Zealand), FCOG (South Africa), FCPS (O&G) – Pakistan, MRANZCOG, MMed (O&G) – Malaysia (2008 onwards only).
The Part II Written exam is delivered online via remote invigilation.
You may sit the Part II Written exam up to six times and you must pass it within six years of your first attempt.
