MRCPI OBG Part 2 Written Eligibility

Before you begin the booking process, it is essential to confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria for the MRCPI OBG Part 2 Written exam.

  • MRCPI Part 1 or equivalent: You must have successfully passed MRCPI Part 1 (General Medicine or Paediatrics) or possess an exemption from this requirement based on a recognized equivalent qualification.
  • Candidates must have completed 18 months of post-registration training in recognised posts, nine months in Obstetrics and nine months in Gynaecology (or in combined posts).

Application process

To apply for the examination, all candidates are requested to fill out the application forms. Submit the necessary documents and payments online. First-time applicants are required to upload certified copies of their original medical qualification diplomas, which must be verified and approved by the Royal College. Ensure that your name and personal details are accurate, as they will be used for all official correspondence from the RCPI.
