MRCPI OBG Part 2 Written Exam:

This exam comes in a computer-based written format, testing the candidates’ knowledge in the principles and practices of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

  • Format: A single exam of 3 hours.
  • Questions: The paper comes with 100 Single Best Answer (SBA) questions, which present a scenario and a question along with five possible options. The candidates should select the single best answer from the given options.

MRCPI OBG Part 2 OSCE/Clinical:

This is the final practical exam, in which a vigilator assesses your clinical and communication skills. You can only attend this exam if you have successfully passed the MRCPI Part 2 Written Exam.

  • Format: An Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE)/ Practical Exam.
  • Questions: The invigilator for this exam tests how candidates manage clinical situations, interpret data, communicate with the patients and colleagues, and demonstrate their clinical skills.
  • Structure: Candidates have to manage 8 stations (7 short stations and 1 Long case station), managing their communication skills, data interpretation skills, and procedural skills.
