For anyone looking to step into Ireland’s OBG healthcare, MRCPI in OBG is the golden ticket that sets your path right. To earn this internationally recognized post-nominal MRCPI, you must successfully complete two crucial exams: the MRCPI OBG Part 2 Written and MRCPI OBG Part 2 OSCE. Here, we’ll go through all the application procedures you need to know.
MRCPI OBG Part 2 Written
The MRCPI OBG Part 2 Written exam is the first step you need to take to achieve the prestigious membership from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI). This exam contains questions designed to test an aspirant’s knowledge in obstetrics and gynaecology, together with aspects of other medical disciplines relevant to practice.
MRCPI OBG Part 2 OSCE
The MRCPI OBG Part 2 OSCE is the final gateway to achieving your coveted membership in the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. This Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) evaluates an aspirant’s knowledge and understanding in Obstetrics and Gynaecology as well as their problem-solving, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, clinical and communication skills.
How to Confirm Your Seats for MRCPI OBG Exams?
To confirm seats, aspirants must submit application forms online. Once your application is received, RCPI will take two weeks to verify it. You need to wait until your applications are verified. If your application is successfully accepted by RCPI, you will receive a confirmation email.
As places for the MRCPI Obstetrics and Gynaecology Part II OSCE/Clinical examination are limited, you may not be able to get a place in the exam when you first apply. You will be asked to pay the fees only after receiving the confirmation email from RCPI, which will include confirmation of your exam place. If RCPI cannot offer you a place in the OSCE/Clinical exam, you will be placed on a waiting list and offered a place if any slot becomes available.
You have separate eligibility requirements for OSCE and Written exams. Before applying, make sure you meet all the eligibility requirements. Once you’ve submitted your application, keep monitoring your email for communications from RCPI. Ensure your contact details are up to date and check your spam folder regularly. While waiting for confirmation, you can begin your exam preparation using recommended study materials and resources. Remember that early application increases your chances of securing your preferred exam date.
For more detailed information about exam dates, fees, and specific eligibility criteria, please visit the official RCPI website or contact their examination department directly.
